Moving to a new state, means discovering who to go to for excellent care. Thankfully I found Dr Swanson & Coastal Smile close to my home. I began with Andrea, the hygienist. I have had dental work in the past that were incredibly painful, poorly done & charged exorbitant amounts! Andrea was so gentle & the numbing agent she used worked so well {without an injection}, that afterwards I sat up amazed how easy and comfortable it was! About a month after I started with Andrea, two of my teeth broke in the evening. I was hesitant to call the office after hours, however I went ahead & called, hoping… I received a warm, caring call shortly later, at 9 pm, from Dr Swanson, letting me know what to do & that his office would call me first thing in the morning to have me come in. The next morning, I sat in the dental chair with Dr Swanson correcting things, explaining the previous mistakes that I could have done differently to take better care of my teeth & how to correct the ones the previous dentists did. SUPERIOR CARE! I am so grateful to have discovered Coastal Smile, Dr Swanson & Andrea, and look forward to finally having an aligned mouth, healthy teeth & gums. MANY SMILES!
I have been to Dr Swanson’s office many times, and each time I go, I feel as if I am family. The office atomosphere is so warm and inviting. I called the office to schedule an appointment to get my teeth whitened. The office manager Leah was very informative and answered all of my questions I had regarding the process of Zoom. She was very professional during the entire conversation. Andrea the hygienist, who did my whitening, was so wonderful and sweet, as always. You can tell she loves where she works. During my appointment, Dr. Swanson came in several times just to show he cares. Always pleased Everytime I come! Highly recommend Coastal Smiles to anyone looking for a dentist!
I wish I didn’t need a crown but if one must have one, see Dr Bob! Staff is friendly & works at making you comfortable…under the sound of drills!!! Ugh! Always an adventure at Dr BOBs!!! Recommend. Been a patient there for many years.

I’m new to Myrtle Beach and needed to find a new dentist so I called and ask about a new-patient teeth cleaning and they were able to get me in an hour after i called. I found out the doctor’s son attended UofSC, where I go, and were able to have a conversation about college. I felt so welcomed there and cannot wait for my next appointment.
